Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking a Network Administrator for a contract with a client in Houston, TX. The role requires strong expertise in Cisco networking and core protocols while managing network performance and resolving incidents.

Responsibilities

Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN networks including Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless infrastructure
Monitor network performance using tools like SolarWinds and Wireshark, performing proactive troubleshooting and resolving outages
Implement and maintain network security controls including VPNs, IDS/IPS, and firewall policies while ensuring compliance with frameworks such as NERC CIP or ISO 27001
Manage incident and change workflows through ServiceNow, collaborating with major incident teams to resolve critical issues
Maintain VMware hosts and virtual environments through regular health checks, capacity planning, and lifecycle management
Create and update network documentation including SOPs, MOPs, diagrams, and configuration records for audits and knowledge sharing

Required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related technical field

Strong understanding of compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NERC CIP) and ability to implement security best practices
