Marketing Engagement Manager

The Marketing Engagement Manager will optimize the post-sale customer journey to enhance retention and engagement, leveraging Salesforce and marketing automation to improve customer experience.

Manufacturing

Responsibilities

Own the post-sale customer communications from onboarding through renewal and advocacy
Define and manage lifecycle stages and success milestones within Salesforce
Map and optimize customer touchpoints across Marketing, Sales, Service, and Operations and identify areas for additional engagement
Develop content for customer communications specific to the market
Ensure consistent, timely, and value-driven customer communications
Design and execute retention-focused engagement programs using Salesforce and marketing automation
Identify at-risk customers through engagement data, lifecycle signals, and system triggers
Build proactive onboarding, adoption, and re-engagement journeys
Partner with Sales to surface expansion and cross-sell readiness signals
Serve as the primary owner of customer lifecycle logic and automation within Salesforce
Build and maintain: Segmentation models and dynamic lists. Cadence for customer journeys and campaigns. Coordinate with Salesforce administrator to set up lifecycle status definitions and customer health indicators
Ensure Salesforce data accuracy and usability for retention and journey reporting
Translate customer communication success goals into scalable, repeatable Salesforce processes
Act as a liaison between Sales, Operations and Salesforce teams
Align customer communications with marketing initiatives, sales outreach and Service interactions
Support a unified, “one APPLIED” customer experience across the organization
Enable internal teams with customer insights and lifecycle visibility
Collect and analyze customer feedback, engagement data, and renewal outcomes
Share insights to inform content strategy, enablement, and customer education
Identify opportunities to improve onboarding, adoption, and long-term value delivery
Own and report on key customer success and retention KPIs, including: Customer retention and churn. Engagement by lifecycle stage. Time-to-value and onboarding completion. Renewal readiness indicators
Coordinate building of Salesforce dashboards and reports
Continuously optimize journeys based on performance data
Support and adhere to all safety procedures and complete all required safety training
Identify and support improvement opportunities for processes to support company objectives and customer expectations

Required

Bachelor's degree required
Minimum of 3–6+ years of progressive experience in Customer Success, Marketing Operations, Lifecycle Marketing, or similar roles required
Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM, including Marketing Cloud, Marketing Cloud Growth Edition, or Account Engagement (Pardot) required
Proven ability to design, manage, and scale automated customer journeys required
Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making required
Ability to craft compelling customer communications and adapt quickly to changing market conditions required
Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills required
Willingness to travel 25–30% to APPLIED sites, customer locations, and industry events required

Preferred

Experience in B2B, industrial, or manufacturing environments preferred
Background in lifecycle marketing, customer retention, or post-sale engagement programs preferred
Experience supporting multi-brand or multi-vertical organizations preferred
Familiarity with customer health scoring, retention modeling, or scalable journey frameworks preferred
