Redding Rancheria is seeking a Human Resources Generalist. The role involves performing HR-related duties, including background checks, onboarding, recruitment, and managing HRIS records.

Responsibilities
Ensures that employees in job positions requiring background investigations have been processed in accordance with hiring policies. Completes live scan fingerprints, conducts and reports thorough record searches and background investigations, that provide comprehensive information needed to make suitability determinations
Maintains and audits human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database; Responsible for entering, verifying, auditing and keeping current the Human Resources Information System HRIS (ADP) including but not limited to: new hire information, background screenings, I-9 employment eligibility verification, TB tests, and wage garnishments etc
Manages the recruitment process for personnel up to and including interviews; Writes and places job advertisements; all aspects of interviews; references checks, works with directors and supervisors to advertise, screen and set up interviews for open positions
Responsible for the recruitment, hiring and auditing of temporary employees
Assisting with all tracking and coordination purposes for the Tribal Youth programs: inputting information into ADP, running reports to insure all information is up to date, etc
Coordinates, organizes and conducts new employee orientations (HR, Benefits, Computer and Safety) ensuring an effective and efficient transition into the workplace for new employees
Tracks employees in their probationary trial service period. Prepares, forwards, and follows-up on the appraisal forms for completion
Creates internal documents pertaining to employee changes such as schedule changes, budget codes alterations, campus transfers etc. Coordinates with supervisors to acquire appropriate approval for changes (in accordance with internal policy) and facilitates the implementation of approved changes into the HRIS system
Works closely with payroll to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing especially concerning Redding Rancheria policies. Additionally, coordinates the processing and issuance of retroactive payments when applicable
Completes employee separation of employment procedures according to legal and internal policy standards. This includes coordination with payroll to process and issue final checks with accuracy
Creates, updates, and implements workflow processes as needed for the department
Responsible for processing medical related leaves of absence i.e. FML, PML, PLA. Processing includes, but is not limited to: timesheet processing, sending bi-weekly updates, acquiring medical documentation, keeping organized records ect
Assists with Redding Rancheria events, including: All Staff, Discover Health, etc
Creates, updates, and implements workflow processes as needed for the department
Qualification
Required
Must possess a valid and current CDL
Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel and HRIS systems
Applicants cannot have a felony conviction
Experience with data entry and high level of accuracy
Must be fingerprinted, submit to and pass background screening for FBI and State of California DOJ in order to be a certified finger print roller and have access to the background screening results
Attend adjudication training within 2 years of employment
E-verify certified within 6 months
Excellent oral and written communication
Must pass pre-employment drug screening
Preferred
Preferred BA degree with a business emphasis or 4 years' experience in Human Resources field
