Business Analyst - Resp Care

The Business Analyst provides operational, strategic, and financial support for the Respiratory Care Services Department, focusing on data analysis, cost-reduction strategies, and compliance reporting.

Responsibilities

Ensures fiscal responsibility, accurate charge capture, and effective productivity tracking. Provides enhanced operational oversight across all respiratory care locations. Maintains systems and processes to support real-time auditing and analytics
Reviews and analyzes financial data; reports variances to the Director. Tracks volume, utilization, efficiency metrics, and other key statistics. Coordinates the Respiratory Care revenue cycle process, including charge master updates, routine audits, and daily charge processing. Assists in the development of annual budgets and volume projections
Retrieves and analyzes departmental data to support DNV and other certification/compliance requirements. Supports strategic planning through business plans for proposed programs. Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and compares them to internal goals and national benchmarks
Reviews monthly budgets to identify cost-reduction opportunities. Recommends and implements efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives. Supports margin analysis to identify growth opportunities aligned with Phoenix Children’s strategic goals. Serves as a financial resource to providers within Respiratory Care Services

Required

Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or related field
Two (2) years of experience in data analysis
Two (2) years of Respiratory Therapy experience
Experience in a Health care environment
Ability to communicate effectively and Demonstrate positive customer relations
Ability to create meaningful and effective reports for varied audiences
