Responsibilities
Conduct sales meetings, trainings, and account/pipeline reviews on a regular basis with sales group
Create a personal network and represent the organization at business sector events to enhance the company brand
Implement sales and marketing strategies to the team which will contribute to achieving the Territory and Regional objectives
Set appropriate performance objectives for team members and hold them accountable for achieving these
Develop a team of high performers who grow business through new account acquisition and expanding share of wallet
Qualification
Required
10-15 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent
15+ years of related job experience
A thorough understanding of distribution management (customer service, sales, purchasing, warehouse, credit, information systems, and logistics) that is preferably from a large, national, or decentralized organization
Excellent verbal, written, people, and diplomacy skills are required
Experienced in strategic management and leadership across company functions directing substantial resources over long time frames
Experience of planning, managing and organizing resources within short/medium timescales within the overall policy framework
Strong planning and organization skills are required
Must have strong leadership and management skills
Experience managing a team of 5-10 direct reports
Preferred
Experience and knowledge in Packaging or similar industry is preferred
Territory sales or account management experience preferred
Strong understanding or experience from a large, national or decentralized distribution organization preferred
Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
