Test Engineer

Responsibilities

Develop and execute hardware test plans, procedures, and acceptance criteria
Write and debug test automation scripts in Python
Design, build, and maintain test fixtures and test equipment
Support production testing and troubleshoot test failures on the manufacturing line
Analyze test data to identify trends, root causes, and corrective actions
Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams during NPI
Validate product performance, reliability, and environmental requirements
Ensure test coverage meets regulatory and customer requirements
Improve test efficiency, yield, and throughput in manufacturing
Document test results, procedures, and engineering changes
Support failure analysis and continuous improvement initiatives

Required

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
Experience in hardware testing, manufacturing engineering, or production support
Strong understanding of electronic or mechanical systems (depending on product)
Experience with test equipment (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, environmental chambers)
Advanced proficiency in Python
Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and specifications
Experience troubleshooting hardware issues in a production environment
Strong documentation and communication skills
Ability to work some nights and weekends to meet mission-critical deadlines
ITAR Regulations: To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a US Citizen, Green Card holder, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State

Preferred

Experience designing automated test systems
Experience with CAD (SolidWorks or Fusion360)
Experience with test fixture design and validation
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality systems (ISO 9001, IPC, Six Sigma)
Experience with regulatory compliance testing
Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing or contract manufacturers
Hands-on experience with root cause analysis tools (FMEA, etc.)
