Responsibilities
Rollout of shopfloor connectivity:
SC integration on new machines
SC retrofits on old machines and WCs
Deploying global rollouts of tools and new standards
Leading Automation & Digitalization Projects
Initiate, design, optimize and create new solutions in the field of IIoT/SC/OT with communication to global responsible
Use of software solutions, configuration & use of edge devices
Establishing connectivity with remote services
Automation / digitization of systems on machines using PLCs and microcontroller programming
Connecting and evaluating intelligent sensors, microcontrollers, edge devices and monitors on new and existing machines (retrofit) to implement IIoT/SC/OT solutions
Initiating, conceptualizing and designing new solutions in the area of digitalization / Industry 4.0 for complex plants and systems in production
Use of software solutions and, if necessary, development of microservices for end devices such as industrial computers / edge devices in the various production areas
Software development / programming of applications for end devices such as industrial computers / edge devices / possibly robots in the production area
Establishing connectivity between / with various remote applications
Setting up and maintaining databases (data management) in preparation for data analytics
Identifying and evaluating new trends and developments in the field of hardware development and digitization for industrial applications
Automation / digitalization of existing systems on machines with the help of PLC and microcontroller programming
Connection and evaluation of additional intelligent sensors, microcontrollers, industrial computers and monitors on new and existing machines (retrofit) for the realization of Industry 4.0 applications and monitoring systems
Market evaluation of new trends as well as testing of new hardware components e.g. sensors for production plants
If necessary, design and development of hardware-related backend applications for the processing of production data
Qualification
Required
Completed studies in (technical) computer science, electrical engineering or comparable qualification
Programming experience e.g. in the area of Python, C / C++, Java, JavaScript
Knowledge in the field of electronics
Experience in industrial communication protocols such as fieldbuses, OPC-UA and MQTT
Professional experience in the area of Industrial Internet
PC knowledge (e.g. MS Office, SAP)

Willingness to travel desirable
