Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Advanced Software Engineer to support the development of the Anthem Integrated Maintenance System for their Next Generation Avionics platform. In this role, you will define software requirements, design embedded solutions, and verify system performance, ensuring the maintenance systems meet the needs of modern aircraft.

Responsibilities

Design, modify, and implement C/C++ embedded software for RTOS/Linux based systems
Develop and maintain build systems and support CI/CD pipelines
Participate in lab integration activities, troubleshooting and validating system behavior
Create and maintain robust technical documentation and manage JIRA work items
Apply critical aerospace safety and security standards (DO 178C, DO 326A/356A)
Follow established engineering processes to deliver high quality, certifiable embedded software

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics
3 plus years of professional experience in embedded software development with strong proficiency in C/C++ and hands‑on work with RTOS or Linux‑based embedded systems
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylum or refugee status in the U.S, or have the ability to obtain an export authorization

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Ability to work effectively under tight deadlines in a structured environment
Strong analytical and software problem solving skills
Experience developing or supporting aircraft maintenance systems
Familiarity with Integrated Avionics architectures
Understanding of Cyber Security principles in safety critical systems
