Electrical Engineering Intern

As an Electrical Engineering Intern, you will support the Drill Electrical Team with hardware evaluations, analysis, and selection for the design of electrical systems, as well as assist engineers with troubleshooting issues on the factory floor.

Responsibilities

Assist in reviewing electrical schematics of existing and new designs
Updating electrical schematics from marked up drawings provided by engineers
Assist with selection of replacement parts for obsolete devices or components
Organize and compile as build information from the factory for documentation
Collect and organize data for product issues seen on current or new products
Assist engineers with troubleshooting issues on the factory floor

Required

Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, or similar, from an accredited college or university
Sophomore, Junior, Senior level student in good academic standing
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team towards a goal
Excellent organization and personal time management skills, ability to handle multiple tasks
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Possess effective problem solving and critical thinking skills; ability to be creative and resourceful when needed
Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

Previous classroom and/or work experience in one or more of the following areas: digital logic and circuit analysis
Previous classroom and/or work experience with reading electrical schematics
Interest in or aptitude to learn about careers in the heavy equipment industry
Preferred experience with robotics or programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD or equivalent software
