Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the organization's virtualized infrastructure, including hyperconverged VMware environments
Oversee and manage all aspects of systems administration, including server management, cloud infrastructure, Active Directory, Office 365, and Entra ID
Help manage critical IT infrastructure projects, from evaluating new technologies to overseeing their implementation, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
Help develop and enforce governance, policies, and procedures related to IT systems administration to ensure security, efficiency, and compliance
Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and effectively manage relationships
Provide mentorship and expertise in diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues, serving as an escalation point for the team
Create, update, and maintain documentation (e.g., system architecture and support)
Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, providing strategic recommendations and risk assessments to leadership
Oversee the administration of the organization's RingCentral telephone system, as well as phone and video conferencing support
Ensure the availability and integrity of systems through robust backup and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and testing

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science/Business Information Systems, or equivalent work experience
5+ years experience as Systems Administration or similar role
Ability to provide mentorship and foster a positive, collaborative work environment
Strong cross-functional project management skills
Expertise in administering a hybrid Windows AD/Entra ID domain that supports both Windows and Mac workstations
Hands-on experience with physical and virtual Windows and Linux server administration, including hyperconverged VMware environments
Proficiency in cloud technologies (e.g., Entra ID, Google Cloud, and Single Sign-On)
Experience with VPN technologies, SCCM, InTune, JAMF, Microsoft Office 365 administration, and Powershell scripting
Experience with backup and disaster recovery planning, including the implementation and testing of DR/BC plans
Experience with VoIP phone and video conferencing system support (RingCentral preferred)
Familiarity with LAN/WLAN network infrastructure and advanced data networking configurations
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically
Outstanding organizational, time management, and interpersonal communication skills (written and oral); ability to work independently and manage conflicting priorities while knowing when to escalate issues appropriately
High degree of discretion, integrity, and professionalism, with strong accountability
Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
Preferred
Experience with VoIP phone and video conferencing system support (RingCentral preferred)
