Responsibilities
Research, write, and revise interactive high-quality lesson plans, workshop guides, resources, and educational toolkits for K–12 audiences
Develop content that integrates MOT’s pedagogical pillars, core values, and aligns with the MOT’s theory of change
Design materials that support interactive learning, discussion-based formats, and inquiry-based approaches across age levels
Design and develop accessible learning materials that offer multiple entry points for engaging learners with diverse backgrounds and with differing learning needs
Support facilitators by creating user-friendly guides, companion materials, and lead training sessions designed for meaningful engagement and knowledge transfer
Apply trauma-informed, inclusive, and anti-oppressive frameworks in all content
Ensure materials align with best practices in Holocaust education, antisemitism awareness, and human rights pedagogy
Uphold a commitment to narrative responsibility, emotional complexity, and historical accuracy
Partner with the Project Manager to ensure timelines, milestones, and review cycles are aligned and tracked
Coordinate with the Process & Operations Officer to ensure content documentation is maintained across all projects
Collaborate with program teams to ensure content creation and revisions align with program goals and educational best practices, while maintaining alignment with MOT’s mission, vision, and intended impact
Serve as a key partner in transforming Moriah Films content into pedagogically sound educational resources
Develop discussion guides, learning extensions, and reflective activities that amplify the storytelling power of MOT media assets
Ensure historical fidelity and emotional resonance are preserved across formats
Participate in internal and external review processes; incorporate expert feedback from historians, educators, and stakeholders
Edit and proofread content for clarity, tone, accessibility, and audience engagement
Ensure consistency of voice, message, and quality across all deliverables
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree required; preferred fields include Education, History, Jewish Studies, English, Social Justice, or Museum Education
Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in educational content creation, adult learning, or public humanities programs
Demonstrated experience creating content for educators, adult learners, or intergenerational audiences
Exceptional writing, research, and editing skills
Strong understanding of inquiry-based pedagogy, differentiated instruction, and trauma-informed design
Ability to distill complex or emotionally charged topics into clear, engaging, and age-appropriate content
Comfortable working across multiple projects and timelines with collaborative teams
Proficiency in Google Workspace
Preferred
Master's degree, teaching credential, or adult learning certification strongly preferred
Familiarity with Holocaust education, anti-bias pedagogy, or civics education highly valued
Familiarity with digital learning platforms or content management tools is a plus
