Responsibilities
Development and validation of fluorescence-based biochemical and biophysical assays to characterize protein-compound and/or protein-protein interactions
Assist in the discovery of chemical starting points for early-stage projects using screening technologies, including but not limited to DNA-encoded libraries, automated high-throughput fluorescence or activity-based assays, and fragment-based methods
Assist in the validation of screening hits using a suite of technologies including surface plasmon resonance (SPR), isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC), thermal shift assays, dynamic light scattering, time-resolved FRET or fluorescence polarization-based assays, and NMR
Work with contract research organizations to oversee generation of protein reagents to facilitate biochemical/biophysical experiments
Qualification
Required
Currently pursuing a BS or MS degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology, or a related field
Hands-on laboratory experience in protein science, biochemistry, biophysics, or related fields
Ability to work well independently in a collaborative team environment
Comfortable in presenting results to small groups and cross-function teams
Ability to be onsite in Watertown, Ma July - December 2026 (start/end dates are flexible)
Preferred
Prior exposure to fluorescence-based techniques
Running assays in 384/1536-well format
Experience in protein sciences
