Lead Program Manager

Responsibilities
Own and lead a portfolio of strategic health partnership programs, from initial scoping through implementation, launch, and ongoing optimization, ensuring these partnerships deliver against our product strategy and business objectives
Drive structure from ambiguity by clarifying goals, defining operating models, aligning stakeholders, and building program plans, cadences, and decision-making frameworks in environments with high noise and changing priorities
Manage the full program lifecycle on a day-to-day basis, including defining success metrics, measuring progress toward objectives, identifying dependencies, risks, and issues, and overseeing budget, resources, and deliverables against outcomes
Act as the unflappable central point of coordination for cross-functional stakeholders (Product & Tech, Clinical, Operations, Go-to-Market, Legal & Compliance, Finance, and external health partners), ensuring proactive, consistent communication and alignment
Serve as the leadership team’s subject matter expert on your programs: monitor program success metrics, synthesize insights, and provide clear, concise updates and recommendations to executive stakeholders
Continuously assess launch and operational risk factors for key partnerships and actively drive mitigation strategies with the right owners, escalating when appropriate and keeping cross-functional teams focused on the most critical issues
Identify and initiate continuous process improvements across your programs and partnerships to make their performance faster, smoother, and more scalable
Hold teams (and yourself) to a “finish the job” mindset, ensuring programs don’t just start strong but are driven through to successful outcomes and post-launch learnings
Support and refine the product development lifecycle, including quarterly roadmap planning and cross-functional alignment for the Product & Tech organization
Identify and implement improvements to how teams operate cross-functionally, designing robust yet nimble processes that increase efficiency (for example: product roadmap change management, intake and prioritization of product requests, and bug triage workflows)
Partner with Product & Tech leadership to define and maintain the annual product roadmap, ensuring it remains current and that relevant teams have clear, timely visibility
Help move the Product & Tech organization toward a more data-informed approach to roadmap development, standing up or refining processes to track and review product feature performance
Become a trusted partner for Product, Engineering, and Design teams as well as their cross-functional counterparts, helping translate strategy into execution
Manage and optimize Product tooling to support effective execution and visibility
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in program management or operations, with a track record of success in complex, highly cross-functional organizations
A proven driver of alignment and execution, able to synthesize diverse perspectives, facilitate crisp decision-making, and establish clear ownership from strategy through delivery
Experienced owning large, strategic initiatives end-to-end, taking work from ambiguity through execution and measurable impact (e.g., major launches, partnerships, or org-wide programs)
Calm, resilient, and solutions-oriented under pressure, bringing focus and momentum even when information is incomplete and stakes are high
Exceptionally strong program management fundamentals — planning, sequencing, dependency management, and risk mitigation — with the adaptability to recalibrate as priorities evolve
Fluent in modern product & technology operating models, with a bias toward outcomes over output, early learning, and strong cross-functional partnership
High EQ and executive presence, trusted to navigate sensitive, high-visibility situations and build durable relationships with senior leaders and external partners
A clear and compelling communicator, able to distill complexity into crisp narratives, recommendations, and decisions tailored to different audiences
A strategic thinker with strong problem-solving instincts, who connects day-to-day execution to broader business and organizational goals
Comfortable with ambiguity and biased toward action, with a reputation for finishing what you start
Humble, resourceful, and energized by high-growth environments, holding yourself and others to a high bar while remaining grounded and collaborative
Deeply motivated by Modern Health's mission and passionate about building systems that enable better mental health outcomes at scale
Preferred
2+ years of experience in digital health or working with health-related products, services, or partnerships
Experience in a high-growth startup or similarly dynamic environment where building while flying is the norm
