Functional Analyst
Akkodis Group Nordics is seeking a Functional Analyst for a Contract with a client in Naperville, IL. The role involves leading functional testing cycles, developing test plans, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure software quality in financial systems.

Responsibilities
Lead and execute functional testing cycles, ensuring comprehensive test coverage aligned with SDLC methodologies (Waterfall/Agile)
Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and documentation using HP ALM, JIRA, and other QA management tools
Analyze system requirements, perform gap assessments, and troubleshoot application issues across complex financial systems
Define testing metrics, track software quality performance, and compile detailed reports for stakeholders and leadership
Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to drive defect resolution, improve testing standards, and enhance QA processes
Ensure compliance with banking/financial domain requirements while supporting automated testing frameworks and tool integrations
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred)
5–8 years for Test Analysts and 10+ years for Test Leads with strong functional testing experience
Proven expertise in functional testing, QA processes, and test documentation using HP ALM, JIRA, and related QA tools
Solid background in SDLC methodologies with hands‑on experience in banking or financial domain applications and testing frameworks
