Responsibilities
Sweeping, Mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, stripping, waxing and buffing floors
Equipment operating. Using floor cleaning machines such as buffers, scrubbers and extractors
Adhering to safety guidelines and reporting maintenance issues
Performing tasks such as carpet spotting, bonnet cleaning and extracting
Assisting with other cleaning duties as needed, including dusting, cleaning walls and furniture
Maintaining an inventory of floor areas, scheduling cleaning duties, and reporting maintenance needs to supervisors
Qualification
Required
Knowledge of floor care techniques, equipment, and cleaning chemicals
Work in an environment that is subjected to varying levels of heat and noise, the severity of which depends upon customer volume
Able to work independently
Manage multiple priorities
Communicate effectively with customers as well as all levels of employees
The job requires standing for extended periods and lifting heavy equipment
Ability to organize/prioritize work, meet deadlines, work with minimal supervision/multiple interruptions, exercise judgment and adapt instructions/directions from one assignment to another
Communicate effectively with co-workers and management
Work in cramped quarters
Attention to detail
Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with others
Professional appearance and demeanor
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, and perform tasks involving bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods
Minimum age requirement is 21
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic math skills
Must be able to speak and understand English
Ability to move throughout the property (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time
Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear
Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds
Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift
