Responsibilities

Responsible for laboratory activities related to the research and development of CRISPR/Cas9 genome edited and mRNA-CAR T cell therapies for oncology and autoimmune disorders
Execute experiments to assess and optimize delivery of cargo to immune cells and test for functionality in vitro and in vivo
Perform in-vitro assays to quantify cargo delivery to T-cells and perform immunoassays (cytotoxicity and cytokine release) to evaluate potency and specificity of engineered T cells
Support the team by performing in-vivo studies using murine models to evaluate therapeutic efficacy
Work within a matrixed organization to improve understanding of CAR T cell, mRNA, and LNP biology

Required

Master's degree in Biological Sciences, Bioengineering, Medical Biotechnology, or a directly related field and at least two years of laboratory experience in industry
Alternatively, candidates with a Bachelor's degree plus at least four years of laboratory experience in industry will be considered
Experience culturing and manipulation of human T cells or PBMCs
Experience with multi-color flow cytometry of T cells with up to 6 markers
Experience with in-vitro T cell assays including cytokine quantification (ELISA or MSD), and cell-based cytotoxicity assays with tumor cell lines
Animal handling experience, including i.v., i.p. and s.c. injections and animal model development
Processing animal tissues and organs (ie. spleen) to single cell suspension for downstream analysis
