Responsibilities
Assist in providing statistical expertise in the design of research projects, focusing on fundamental issues including specification of hypotheses, basic study design and power analysis
Assist in the development of operations and procedures for the collection, editing, verification and management of data
Assist in preparing preliminary plans for analysis of research study; present such plan to the research team and prepare final analysis plans based on team input
Consults with investigators on experimental design and statistical research approaches, requirements, and scientific standards to advance medical knowledge and improve the assigned research program
Develops, programs, manages, and maintains complex statistical databases; performs data entry
Participate in the preparation of written reports and oral presentations summarizing data analysis results, including detailed description of statistical methods, detailed analysis of results, and synthesis of conclusions from summary tables
Qualification
Required
Masters Other in Biostatistics, Statistics or related area and 1 year of experience or completed education in statistical design of research projects and power analysis, upon hire
Preferred
Doctorate Of Science PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics or related area and 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified
