Human Resources Manager (Bilingual & Onsite)
Mercaso is a fast-paced startup seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions in warehouse, wholesale, and transportation operations. The role focuses on employee relations, compliance, and supporting a large non-exempt workforce while fostering a positive workplace culture.

Responsibilities
Serve as primary point of contact for employee relations matters across a large non-exempt population
Investigate and resolve employee concerns including attendance, performance, conduct, and policy violations
Coach managers and supervisors on progressive discipline, documentation, and best practices
Support conflict resolution and foster a positive workplace culture
Ensure compliance with federal, state (California), and local employment laws and regulations
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation
Support workers’ compensation, leaves of absence, and accommodations
Partner with payroll to ensure accurate timekeeping and wage compliance
Support recruiting and onboarding for hourly and salaried roles
Develop and implement training programs for supervisors and employees
Support performance review processes and development planning
Help build HR processes and structure in a startup environment
Drive engagement initiatives and retention strategies
Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on people strategy
Qualification
Required
Fluent in Spanish and English (required)
5+ years of HR experience, preferably in warehouse, wholesale, logistics, transportation, or manufacturing environments
Strong employee relations experience with large non-exempt/hourly populations
Experience working in a startup or high-growth environment
Solid knowledge of California labor laws and HR best practices
Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable being on the floor with operations teams
Strong communication, investigation, and problem-solving skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred)
HR experience supporting warehouse operations or distribution centers
Experience with multi-shift environments
