Operations Coordinator

City House Inc is dedicated to providing essential services through their Emergency Shelter. They are seeking an Operations Coordinator to manage daily operations, maintain facility standards, and oversee kitchen and nutritional needs for the shelter.

Responsibilities

Maintain a working knowledge of Trauma Informed Care, TBRI ®, Normalcy, Cultural Competence, Compassion Fatigue & Self-Care
Maintain household maintenance needs per shelter annual budget
Confirm all household needs meet DFPS minimum standards & HHSC licensing guidelines
Maintain all DFPS annual and semi-annual inspections and drills including, but not limited to, fire and weather drills, playground inspections, health inspection, and fire and gas inspection
Manage relationship with outside vendors to meet the needs of the operation & facility including, but not limited to, the City of Plano for discarding sanitation services, including bulk pick-up, A/C, Plumbing, Appliance, Back Flow, Sprinklers, Lawn Maintenance, Pest Control, Grease Trap, Fish Tank, etc
Maintain relationships with City of Plano, Fire Marshall, Health Dept. etc
Weekly walk-throughs of the building and facility to maintain the upkeep of the inside and outside of the property
Responsible for obtaining appropriate supplies for the daily upkeep of shelter
Confirm all household needs meet DFPS minimum standards & HHSC licensing guidelines
Maintain & oversee the shelter kitchen including regulations, cleanliness & stocking
Oversee proper procedures are followed for food storage & discarding
Provide training on procedures for all staff in kitchen safety, how to use the sanitizer, as well as proper washing techniques
Maintain all records related to food handlers & managers, as well as keeping all proper documentation displayed
Obtain Food Manager’s Certification within first 60 days of employment
Oversee Nutritional needs of the shelter
Provide weekly menu with nutritious snacks and meals
Create a grocery list for all snacks and meals planned for each week
Oversee purchasing of the groceries

Required

Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer & Emergency Shelter Director in managing the daily operations of the facility, as well as vehicles, for the Emergency Shelter according to Minimum Standards set by Licensing, DFPS and other funding sources
