Responsibilities
Design and implement enterprise-scale SAP architecture solutions that align with Amazon's business objectives and technical standards
Lead technical strategy development for SAP implementations, upgrades, and integrations across multiple business units
Make critical architectural decisions that balance business requirements, technical constraints, performance, scalability, and cost
Partner with business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into effective technical solutions
Mentor and develop junior architects and engineers, raising the technical bar across the organization
Drive innovation by evaluating emerging SAP technologies and recommending adoption strategies
Create detailed architecture documentation, including diagrams, specifications, and implementation roadmaps
Lead architectural reviews and provide guidance to resolve complex technical challenges
Establish governance processes to ensure architectural compliance and quality
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud technology
10+ years of experience in SAP implementation, including 5+ years in architectural roles
Deep expertise in multiple SAP modules (e.g., S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, IBP, Ariba)
Experience designing and implementing large-scale SAP solutions in enterprise environments
Proven track record of leading complex SAP projects from conception through implementation
Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies (e.g., CPI, PO, API Management)
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Preferred
Master's degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
Experience with Amazon Web Services and architecting SAP solutions on AWS
Experience in at least one of these technology areas: DevOps, serverless, software development and design, CI/CD, AI/ML, Storage, Networking or Databases
Experience with SAP HANA database administration and optimization
SAP certifications in relevant areas (e.g., S/4HANA, BTP, Integration)
Strong understanding of data migration strategies and tools
