Responsibilities
Managing caseload and/or supporting Partners and colleagues on larger complex insurance claims
Analysing and applying legal principles and facts to derive technically sound, commercial strategies for complex cases and insurance policy coverage issues
Drafting and reviewing correspondence, reports and litigation documents
Maintaining caseload in good organisational shape and in accordance with client quality and service level agreements
Developing an understanding of the client's, and our wider business, and how the two fit together
Demonstrating strong analytical and problem solving skills
Qualification
Required
3+ PQE US qualified lawyer with primary and excess general liability policy coverage work experience (although we remain open to those with an insurance background in other lines of business, such as D&O, E&O, EPL, LPL, or Cyber, as well as litigation)
The ability to run your own caseload and work in an autonomous fashion
Strong academic record
Capable of analysing and applying legal principles to a complex factual scenario, with a view to achieving a commercial resolution for the client
Able to deal confidently and professionally with clients on day-to-day issues
The ability to think and act quickly and under pressure for clients who find themselves in crisis
Team oriented and collegiate with a willingness to share knowledge with and support other members of the team
