Responsibilities
Perform a wide variety of difficult and complex transportation engineering work
Serve as the licensed professional Senior Resident Engineer on large and/or complex construction projects delivered under alternative delivery methods and/or valued in excess of $30 million
Assign work, give instructions, make decisions on difficult engineering and administrative problems in connection with directing work on various transportation projects
Qualification
Required
This position(s) requires(s) a valid Professional Engineering License issued by the California Board of Registration for Professional Engineers for appointment
Possession of a valid driver's license is required when operating a state owned or leased vehicle
A Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) is required and must be submitted along with your State application
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing (including presentations) and competently represent the Department
Knowledge and experience tracking and monitoring cost, scope and schedule of projects and operating budgets
Knowledge and experience of Construction Contract Administration and Job Order Contracts
Experience and ability to lead teams
