Responsibilities
Investigate activity and disrupt abusive operations in partnership with our policy, legal, integrity, global affairs and security teams, including by conducting cross-internet research
Develop abuse signals and tracking strategies to proactively detect bad actors on our platform
Communicate investigation findings from your work with stakeholders internally and, at times, externally
Develop a categorical understanding of our products and data, and work with engineering teams to improve our data and tooling
Qualification
Required
Expert understanding of OpenAI products and data
Experience investigating threat actors
Ability to respond to time sensitive escalations
Experience conducting cross-internet research
Ability to communicate investigation findings with stakeholders
Development of abuse signals and tracking strategies
Categorical understanding of products and data
Collaboration with engineering teams to improve data and tooling
At least 5+ years of experience tracking threat actors in abuse domains
At least 2 years of experience developing innovative detection solutions
Experience conducting open-ended research to solve real-world problems
Experience in presenting analytic work in public or policy settings
Experience scaling and automating processes
Preferred
Deep expertise in extremism/terrorism, scams and fraud abuse, or national security
Strong familiarity with technical investigations using SQL and Python
Ability to speak another language (ideally Chinese, Arabic, Farsi, Hindi), in addition to English
