Responsibilities
Produce layouts and manufacturing drawings following acceptable Engineering and Manufacturing Standards
Provide technical design support for Project Leader
Understand project's scope, schedule, and budgetary constraints and work within them
Participate in internal & external design reviews including interrelationships of other disciplines
Follow established project controls procedures
Prepare formal project control forms, i.e., transmittals, drawing requests, etc
Communicate with the client
Periodically will coordinate work with other designers
Projects may include process, machine upgrades, piping, utilities, checking drawings, bill-of-materials, specifications, etc
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
3D CAD experience
Willingness to gain/progress to PE qualifications
Must be able to climb ladders, walk over crossovers, and access equipment
Must be able to climb a caged personnel ladder
Must be capable of walking the distance from parking lot to designated job area (1 mile+), in addition to walking throughout a large manufacturing plant during course of day for required meetings and other required duties
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, background check, and motor vehicle report (MVR) according to company and client policies
