Engineering Specialist

Responsibilities

Responsible for advancing diverse process improvements, including cell configuration, machine capacity, production quality, decreasing setup, cycle times, and equipment down time
Creating and optimizing CNC programs for multiple types of equipment
Capital equipment research, procurement, and installation
Supporting and advancing Lean manufacturing processes and techniques
Assuring machine capability with capability studies coordinated with Quality Assurance department
Solving problems and troubleshooting within assigned areas. Active involvement and concentration in the resolution of process, production, and flow issues
Determining the cause of the problem, formulating solutions, providing written summaries, and recommending/instituting permanent corrective action
Alignment of manufacturing processes, globally
Provide training and assistance to all assigned personnel
Obey all safety rules and stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition. Report all safety concerns immediately
Perform other tasks as assigned by manager

Required

Technical/Associates degree and 5+ years plus years of prior manufacturing experience or 7+ years of manufacturing experience
CNC or Assembly experience
Strong organizational ability, communication (written and oral), interpersonal, and computer skills
While performing duties may be required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, twist and/or lift up to 50 pounds throughout an entire shift
Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future
Knowledge of manufacturing equipment and ability to troubleshoot using root cause analysis
Strong mechanical abilities, troubleshooting experience with root cause analysis
Take initiative and make quality decisions based on known policies and procedures with minimal supervision
Possess excellent communication skills
Act as a leader with utmost integrity, professionalism and positive attitude
Must be a team player and lead by example
