Responsibilities
Maintain and engineer enterprise middleware platforms, including messaging, API, integration, and web/application servers
Provide production support and participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation (once every 4 weeks, including weekends, plus 2 DR weekends per year)
Support core runtime environments used for application hosting, messaging, APIs, and container-based workloads
Lead and support deployments, troubleshoot platform and application issues, and minimize downtime
Handle lifecycle tasks such as installation, upgrades, tuning, monitoring, and capacity planning
Build and manage container platform clusters across multiple environments (Kubernetes/OpenShift)
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application delivery
Optimize container and platform resources and manage related components
Implement and support enterprise security controls, including certificate and authentication management
Perform system health checks, platform assessments, and maintain technical documentation
Participate in disaster recovery planning and testing
Qualification
Required
Experience: 10+ years in middleware engineering or related fields
Strong expertise in middleware technologies: MQ, Java, APIs, Apigee
3+ years hands-on experience with Kubernetes and OpenShift in any cloud environment
Hands-on experience with Docker for containerization and orchestration
5+ years of experience with Kafka, IBM ESB, IBM MQ, Apigee, Java, Tomcat, or Apache/IIS
Strong understanding of container platform concepts: workloads, access controls, networking, namespaces, RBAC
Experience designing, building, and managing OpenShift clusters
Advanced scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation and reporting
Familiarity with enterprise monitoring, logging, and alerting tools
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience maintaining and updating technical documentation and procedures
Preferred
Certifications in container platforms or orchestration technologies
Healthcare industry experience
