X-ray Spectroscopy Service Technician

easyXAFS LLC is a quickly growing scientific instrumentation and measurement services business that is building and addressing a global market from their facility in Renton, Washington. They are seeking a full-time Service Engineer responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of x-ray spectroscopy systems while ensuring optimal performance for customers.

Responsibilities

The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of easyXAFS x-ray spectroscopy systems
They will serve as a primary technical point of contact for customers, ensuring their sophisticated analytical instrumentation operates at peak performance
This role requires a blend of troubleshooting, software proficiency, and excellent customer relationship management
Travel (including international travel) for customer-facing activities including installation, maintenance, repair, and training is required in this position and will encompass ~40% of FTE

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in chemistry, chemical engineering, or other engineering field
Proficiency in Equipment Maintenance and Equipment Repair
Basic knowledge of Electrical Safety and its associated protocols
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in an on-site team environment
Customer-facing communication skills
Python programming

Preferred

Bachelor's degree or higher preferably in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
Prior experience with scientific instrumentation is beneficial, but may not be necessary
