Responsibilities
Lead the delivery of trusted data products and semantic models that serve as the source of truth for the company
Mentor and develop a talented team of data professionals while fostering a culture of ownership and technical excellence
Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to define measurement strategies that align with business goals
Translate ambiguous business problems into executable engineering roadmaps and technical specs, ensuring the team has a clear path to delivery
Oversee the architecture and governance of our BI environment, ensuring scalability and trust in our data
Go beyond reporting to drive product accountability, using forecasting and metric monitoring to surface trends and strategic opportunities
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify gaps in our data collection and drive instrumentation improvements upstream
Drive the integration of AI and LLM-based tooling to improve the user experience for data consumers and reduce time-to-insight
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or BI, with a clear track record of shipping complex data products
2+ years of people management experience, specifically leading technical teams in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with SQL and modern data stack technologies (e.g., dbt, Snowflake, Airflow)
Experience with data visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau) and semantic modeling
BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
Preferred
Experience implementing GenAI or natural language interfaces for analytics
Background in identifying product growth opportunities through data
Experience working in a large-scale, public technology company
MS or PhD in a quantitative field
