Responsibilities
Responsible for answering phones and managing customer inquiries
Take orders from customers over the phone and provide status updates on previous orders
Prepare detailed quotations and bids for mechanical and industrial piping projects
Provide technical guidance on product selection for commercial/industrial PVF applications
Computer entry and order coordination
Purchasing of non-stock items and backorders
Coordination of sales orders with warehouse and delivery teams
Build and maintain strong customer relationships
Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products
Qualification
Required
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of both preferred
Demonstrated trade experience and knowledge of mechanical and industrial piping applications
Able to project professionalism in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, organizational, and computer skills
Motivated team player who takes initiative
Preferred
Experience with pipe fittings, valves, boilers, PVC, grooved fittings, or fire suppression systems preferred
Familiarity with plumbing, heating and cooling, or toolmaking is a plus
