Responsibilities

Demonstrated experience as a Maintenance Engineer within the hotel industry
Expertise in maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and painting in hotel settings
Proficiency in troubleshooting issues and executing repairs promptly
Strong problem-solving aptitude
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration
Physical capability to handle and move heavy equipment as needed
Adhere to property guidelines to ensure the health, safety and comfort of our team members and guests
Knowledge of proper chemical handling and disposal
Ability to prioritize tasks and comply with deadlines for work assignments
Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines
Manage guest requests, inquiries, and complaints promptly and completely. Ensure follow-up with guests is performed in a timely manner to maintain a high level of guest satisfaction and quality service
Carry out regular maintenance tasks and thorough inspections to uphold the operational integrity of hotel systems
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and monitor inventory of supplies for efficiency
Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool heaters - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision
Troubleshoot and perform repairs on all types of equipment (e.g., pump and motor replacement), plumbing (e.g., plunge toilets and unclog drains), electrical equipment including lamps, air conditioners, HVAC equipment, cosmetic items, extension cords, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and outlets, and program TV’s. Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance work
Display solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks. Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, and properly store flammable materials

Support the setup and dismantling of equipment for hotel events as required

The employee must be able to lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift to 75 pounds
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred
