Responsibilities
Leading in the procurement of supplies, equipment, materials and services for South Georgia Medical Center in an authoritative and professional manner
Contract & capital vendor analysis, negotiations and management
Solving backorder, substitution, mis-shipment, or invoicing problems while promoting the organizations’ core commitments
Demonstrating competence in making sure all inventory is stocked and orders are accurate to department records
Qualification
Required
Degree in business or related field and minimum of 2-4 years experience as a buyer strongly preferred
May consider associate degree having significant experience (3-5 years minimum) as a buyer preferably in a medical environment
Must exhibit strong analytical and communication skills as well as demonstrating a high level of positive customer service skills
Office skills must include proficiency in computer software to produce documents, databases, and spreadsheets
An understanding of Internet search and navigation tools and e-mail is required
