Senior AI Research Scientist - AI, Cognition, & Human Autonomous Teams
KBR is seeking senior researchers to support DIA MSIC Programs, focusing on advancing Operational Test and Evaluation of AI-enabled Human Autonomous Teams and cognitive electronic warfare. The role involves leading research, publishing findings, and engaging with various stakeholders to shape the evaluation of AI systems.

Responsibilities
Lead applied research in AI, cognition, human autonomous teaming, AI enabled EW, and mission relevant M&S for OT&E stakeholders
Publish peer reviewed papers, production of technical reports and white papers; present to Department of War (DoW), Defense Intelligence, academic, and industry audiences
Design and deliver technical coursework & training (seminars, workshops, etc)
Facilitate/participate in AI and Threat Working Groups, produce agendas, artifacts, and decision briefings
Engage DoW customers (DOT&E directorates, Service T&E, DIA/MSIC) with timely, high-quality deliverables; lead cross functional tasking and risk management
Qualification
Required
PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or closely related field; equivalent advanced degree/experience combinations per KBR labor categories
10-15+ years relevant DoW/Intelligence Community experience delivering research, analysis, or OT&E artifacts
Active TS (TS/SCI strongly preferred); ability to obtain and maintain TS//SCI clearance
Demonstrated record of profession peer reviewed publications in AI, cognition, teaming, EW, or M&S
Proven teaching/training ability and strong communication/briefing skills
High attention to detail; strong analytical rigor; stakeholder engagement with mixed technical/operational audiences
Preferred
Familiarity with cognitive EW, HATs, superteams, AI enabled threat systems modeling, and OT&E of AI Enabled Systems
