Responsibilities

You will assign and define responsibilities and duties of subordinates in support of submarine maintenance actions, delegating specific authority to subordinate supervisors to carry out their respective responsibilities
You will schedule and execute all production work assigned and have overall responsibility for ensuring all production work meets the acceptable level of cost and schedule adherence
You will coordinate and integrate a number of work assignments over various branches to complete work assignments which include the work of professional, technical, financial, and administrative functions
You will review and approve reports, instructions and all other documents to assure that they conform to command and Navy policies in support of on time delivery of submarine maintenance availability

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level
Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Experience planning, coordinating, and directing the overall production management function for the Production Department
Experience reallocating priorities and resources as required to meet demands and assures that work is accomplished in a logical, efficient, effective and expeditious manner
Experience ensuring that any work assigned that cannot be accomplished is addressed to your reporting senior in a timely manner
Experience interpreting, organizing and executing and coordinating complex assignments and projects
Experience organizing and administering the work functions assigned to the Production Department to ensure their satisfactory and timely accomplishment
