Responsibilities
Film and edit high-quality video content including daily long-form workout videos, educational segments, lifestyle footage, and brand campaigns
Maintain consistency and clarity across high-volume long-form workout edits while balancing short-form content with varied creative styles
Edit instructional and fitness-based content with a strong emphasis on teaching, comprehension, and viewer engagement
Identify and highlight moments of progress, transformation, and storytelling within footage
Repurpose long-form content into multiple compelling short-form pieces for social media platforms
Use thoughtful pacing, cutaways, captions, overlays, examples, animations, and visuals to reinforce spoken instruction
Maintain high production standards across audio quality, lighting consistency, framing, and visual composition
Source, license, organize, and manage music thoughtfully to support tone, pacing, and emotional impact
Collaborate closely with hosts and internal teams to understand creative intent, brand standards, and music preferences
Review, analyze, and document audience feedback including comments, critiques, viewer retention, and engagement metrics
Apply audience feedback and performance insights to continuously improve future edits
Take detailed notes on editing preferences, music selections, pacing, and recurring feedback and apply them consistently
Maintain exceptional organization across all projects including file structure, naming conventions, version control, timelines, and asset management
Proactively bring new ideas, tools, editing techniques, and creative insights to ownership
Stay current on editing trends, viewer psychology, and engagement strategies to keep content compelling and difficult to look away from
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
5 or more years of proven professional experience editing fitness, instructional, or educational video content
Demonstrated experience managing consistent, high-volume editing schedules
Portfolio showcasing long-form workout or instructional videos and short-form social content
Ability to work a flexible schedule, occasionally including weekends
Minimal travel may be required
Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation
Must live in Charlotte, NC or be willing to relocate
Upbeat, positive personality and strong work ethic required
