Responsibilities
You will serve as a senior technical advisor for all customer service problems
You will apply configuration management disciplines to formally document the functional and physical characteristics of a system, network, or product during its life cycle
You will provide support to the Customer Technical Representative by interpreting and representing the customer in contract discussions and requirements
You will install, configure, update, and troubleshoot any non NMCI hardware and software components
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctorate degree
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program
New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check
Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service
This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
This position is designated as a Cybersecurity Workforce position
You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 411 level intermediate within 12 months of appointment
You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time
You will be required to obtain and maintain a current DoDM 8140.03 for DCWF role of (411) certification
The employee may be recalled to duty after working hours
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applicant is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail
Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations
Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information
Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations
The employee must obtain and maintain required DOD 8570 IA training requirement certification, at a minimum 'Network+', 'A+' or 'SSCP' for this designated Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level I and required to obtain certification at Level II within 6 months of accepting the position
