Responsibilities
Frequent and professional communication with our existing client roster to adjust, enhance and execute standing contracts for quarterly exterior planter design
Collaborative work with our Creative Director to assess each clients' previous designs, determine what worked and what didn't, implement solutions to adjust and create new combinations that deliver memorable results
Place orders with local growers, coordinate delivery schedule for said orders and be on site to accept deliveries to ensure quality control
Execute the design vision on site with the support of a seasoned crew, ensuring that installs run smoothly, that we leave no trace and that the client is happy with the final product
Run point on exterior plant maintenance, primarily serving as support for field techs troubleshooting issues ranging from pest control to improper watering to vandalism repairs, as well as performing regular quality control check-ins on sites to ensure plants are growing in as they should as the season progresses
Perform site visits to meet with perspective new clients, take field notes and create proposals based on client needs and collaborative design with Creative Director
Qualification
Required
Have previous experience in professional container design, ideally commercial settings ranging from sidewalk cafes to rooftop gardens
Understand annuals in depth: how they grow in as the season progresses, what their ideal sun exposure is, what their water needs are, what kind of deadheading/pruning is needed throughout the season, how do their bloom cycles work in tandem with the other plants in your pot, what is their cold tolerance and much more!
Have a great design sense. Bottle & Branch prides ourselves on unique combinations and interesting varieties so that we stand out from the crowd
Be professional, both in email and in person. You are a representative of our brand and by extension you should uphold the same level of hospitality as our Michelin-starred restaurants and four-star hotels
Be tech savvy, capable of utilizing Basecamp to navigate client database, Microsoft Outlook for communication and OneDrive for proposal and image management
Be a team player. We are a small team and jelling with your crew is integral to making for a smooth, successful and fun season
