Senior Financial Analyst
Cordia LLC is a multidivisional district energy company seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of a comprehensive corporate forecast for the company, with the capabilities to do commodity level analysis for each business unit and to analyze new scenarios of growth and expansion. Financial analysis will include forecasting financial statements as well as running liquidity and capital structure forecasts
Participate in all annual budgeting, reforecasting, and long-range planning processes
Prepare recurring and ad hoc financial reports for senior management and private equity ownership
Analyze variance versus budget, forecast, and prior periods, identifying key drivers and risks
Analyze financial and operational data across multiple business units to support decision-making
Partner with accounting to ensure consistency between forecasts, budgets, and actual results
Collaborate with operational teams to understand assumptions, trends, and performance drivers
Provide analytical support for corporate initiatives, financing activities, and strategic projects as assigned
Maintain and enhance financial models used for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis
Work within ERP and planning systems (NetSuite, NSPB, NSAW) to extract, validate, and upload data
Support ongoing improvements to FP&A processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency
Assist in the preparation of board-level and executive-level presentations
Must comply with all applicable safety and environmental policies and procedures
Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, finance, or accounting
Minimum of four years' professional experience in financial analysis
Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, forecasting, scenario analysis, large datasets)
Strong PowerPoint skills with the ability to create clear, executive-ready presentations
Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and cash flow dynamics
Experience working with ERP and financial planning systems
High attention to detail with strong quantitative and analytical capabilities
Strong verbal, written, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively with finance, accounting, and non-finance stakeholders
Trustworthy and dependable with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects concurrently
Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and solve problems
Strong judgement, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive information
Eyesight sufficient for computer use and paperwork
Ability to sit for extended periods
Ability to travel by ground transportation and by air throughout the United States
Hearing sufficient for extensive telephone use
Speaking in a group setting
Minimal lifting required
Ability to travel throughout the world by ground and air transportation
Preferred
Degree or experience in engineering or energy related helpful
CFA, CPA (active or inactive license) helpful
Experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, or management consulting
Experience and knowledge of financial modeling, including company valuation and operating models, LBO models, and project finance models
Experience or interest in power & utilities, energy, or district energy
