Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and optimization of enterprise-grade Tableau dashboards, adhering to best practices in data visualization, performance tuning, and usability
Partner with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document complex reporting and analytics requirements
Architect and develop data workflows and pipelines to source, transform, and prepare data from data warehouses and data lake platforms
Provide thought leadership by proposing innovative dashboard solutions aligned with strategic business goals
Define, enforce, and evolve Tableau standards, governance models, and development processes
Certify data sources and dashboards through rigorous testing and validation prior to production release
Write and optimize complex SQL queries for large, multi-source datasets within enterprise data platforms
Serve as a Tableau Site Administrator across DEV, UAT, and PROD environments, including security configuration, performance tuning, and capacity planning
Qualification
Required
10+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, or Analytics development
8+ years of hands-on Tableau development experience, including complex dashboard and analytics solutions
6+ years of Tableau Server / Site Administration experience (DEV, UAT, PROD)
8+ years of experience writing advanced SQL against relational databases (SQL Server preferred)
6+ years of experience with data warehouse architecture and data modeling
6+ years of experience with Alteryx or similar data preparation tools
Strong expertise in BI governance, including metadata management, data quality, security, privacy, and usage standards
Proven experience managing multiple concurrent BI projects in fast-paced environments
Solid experience working in Agile/Scrum development teams
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
Demonstrated ability to mentor and coach BI professionals
Preferred
Experience with Python and/or R for advanced analytics
Experience working in public sector or government environments
Strong background in enterprise data visualization strategy and BI platform modernization
