Responsibilities
Establish, enhance, and maintain budget development and estimating standards and processes
Monitor market trends and assess their impact on cost estimates and budget deliverables
Provide technical guidance and training on best practices for project and program costing and administration
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to gather, share, and align on critical information
Lead assigned process improvement initiatives to strengthen estimating efficiency and accuracy
Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities
In addition to the essential duties mentioned above, other duties may be assigned
Qualification
Required
Proven experience leading budget development and estimating for complex capital projects, programs, and initiatives
Ability to establish, maintain, and continuously improve estimating standards, methodologies, and processes
Skilled at monitoring market conditions and translating cost trends into accurate, forward-looking estimates
Experience leading preconstruction and estimating efforts, including major project elements and phased cost development
Ability to coach, develop, and elevate estimator capabilities to deliver consistent, high-quality outcomes
Strong judgment in identifying cost risks, barriers, and variances, with the ability to recommend mitigation strategies
Ability to partner effectively across disciplines to gather inputs, align assumptions, and drive shared outcomes
Strength in producing timely, clear analyses and communicating complex cost information to diverse audiences
Proficiency in MS Office and estimating software to support efficient, accurate cost modeling
Ability to operate independently, respond quickly to change, and deliver under shifting priorities
Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in a related field are encouraged to apply
10-plus years of experience leading multi-disciplined teams
Regularly required to sit, talk, hear; use hands/fingers to touch, handle, and feel. Occasionally required to move about the workplace and reach with hands and arms. Requires close vision
