Responsibilities
Provide chemical engineering expertise and mentoring to Technical Engineers, Operations, and Maintenance personnel
Recommend and implement solutions that enhance safety, reliability, and continuous improvement
Support day-to-day process troubleshooting activities
Lead and participate in incident investigations
Lead and support Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including: Process Hazard Analyses (PHA), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR), Mechanical Integrity (MI), Process Technology (PT)
Lead site Risk Management Plan (RMP) activities
Drive development and execution of the area capital plan
Participate on the Highly Toxic Material Committee
Provide environmental compliance and support as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
7+ years of experience in chemical manufacturing or process operations
Demonstrated expertise in PSM, LOPA, Facility Siting, and RMP
Strong knowledge of pressure relief device sizing
Working knowledge of chemical plant equipment, including pumps, compressors, piping systems, distillation columns, reactors, and refrigeration systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Effective interpersonal and leadership capabilities
Ability and willingness to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including steel-toe footwear, hard hat, Nomex, eye protection, and respirators
Preferred
Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher) Certification
