Hardware Technician

Responsibilities

Assist setup, optimization, and readiness of manufacturing lines to support scalable mass production of new products while meeting quality, cost, and delivery targets
Develop, document, and implement detailed Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to standardize manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and ensure consistent product quality
Support ongoing Research & Development initiatives by conducting testing, troubleshooting, and hands-on assembly of prototypes to advance products through validation and launch phases
Collaborate closely with engineering and operations teams to transition products from prototype to production, identifying and resolving manufacturing, mechanical, and design challenges
Design, source, and fabricate electrical components and wiring harnesses, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and production requirements
Provide mechanical and technical support during prototyping, pilot builds, and early production runs as needed
Identify process improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions to enhance manufacturability, reliability, and production throughput
Maintain accurate documentation related to manufacturing processes, technical designs, and product changes
Ensure adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards across all manufacturing and development activities
Assist with cross-functional planning and coordination to support successful product launches and major customer orders

Required

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to transition products from R&D into reliable, repeatable production environments
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, evolving environment with changing priorities and deadlines
Ability to balance strategic process improvement with day-to-day execution
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a cross-functional team
Excellent work ethic and successful record of on-time project delivery
Exceptional judgment & solution-oriented problem-solving skills
Strong hands-on experience with electromechanical assembly, prototyping, and production support
2-4 years of equivalent professional experience in manufacturing, electronics, industrial technology, or a related technical field or equivalent hands-on experience
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals and effectively present information and respond to questions
Ability to calculate figures
Proficient in Microsoft office suite, CAD software

Preferred

2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, engineering support, or product development environments (experience scaling products from prototype to production) is preferred
A degree in engineering, manufacturing, electronics, Industrial Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience is a plus
HubSpot experience is a plus but not required
