In School Presenter (Western Washington)
The IDEA Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering understanding and empathy through interactive disability education programs in schools. They are seeking an In-School Presenter to facilitate and deliver interactive disability awareness programs in schools, engaging with students and collaborating with teachers to promote inclusivity.
Responsibilities
Preparing and presenting age-appropriate curriculum
Engaging with students
Promoting an inclusive and empathetic learning environment
Collaborating with teachers and school staff to tailor presentations to specific grade levels
Qualification
Required
Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with school-aged children effectively
Capacity to foster empathy and understanding while facilitating interactive and inclusive learning experiences
Organizational and time management skills to prepare and deliver lessons on schedule
Ability to work independently and adapt curriculum to different age groups
Commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusivity
Reliable transportation to travel to multiple schools across Western Washington
Preferred
Experience working in educational settings or with children is a plus
