Responsibilities
Supporting the Associate Director of Admissions in the Patient Financial Advocate Unit
Scheduling in/out patients for appointments to various clinics
Verify and enter patient demographics
Verify insurances for Medicare and PPOs including co-pay information, familiar with HMO, IPA, and PPO
Reach out and notify payors, obtain authorizations, fax notifications, and support case management team as needed
Through training, they will be expected to Utilize their knowledge of ICD-9, CPT Codes and medical terminology as they input medical data into the system
Process pre-registration and cash collections
Qualification
Required
2-4 years in Healthcare
Must have knowledge of authorizations and insurances (Medi-Cal, HMO, IPA, PPO)
