KPMG is a leading advisory firm currently seeking an Advisory Intern for their Infrastructure and Capital Projects practice. The role involves supporting construction management processes, conducting project reviews, and working with engagement teams to deliver client solutions.

Responsibilities

Review, analyze and recommend improvements to construction management processes and internal controls
Support construction contract reviews, project oversight and monitoring functions for large capital projects
Define and implement recommendations including construction management policies, procedures, processes, internal controls, roles, responsibilities, reporting and supporting information technology
Conduct project reviews to evaluate percentage of completion, probability of recovery for change orders and claims, reasonableness of the estimate to complete construction, schedule delays, defective specifications and loss of productivity
Work with engagement teams to perform field work, including data collection, analysis and work paper documentation; prepare, edit, proofread narrative reports and presentations of observations and recommendations; work closely, but independently, under the guidance of Director and Partners
Perform analysis using Excel, PowerPoint and other data visualization tools to produce client deliverables, reports and dashboards
Internship concludes with a case study presentation to partners on services and solutions learned throughout the internship

Required

Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors; Engineering or Construction Management or other relevant field from an accredited college/university
Must have a current/most recent GPA of 3.00 or above
Ability to help solve complex problems in a team-oriented environment, service orientation and cognitive flexibility
Excellent communication, time management and leadership skills; flexible and adaptable team player; resourceful in delivering high quality work
Strong technical aptitude and critical thinking skills and ability to navigate MS Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook
Ability to travel and/or work on-site at client as needed
Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
