3+ years expTEKsystems is a leading provider of business and technology services, and they are seeking a hands-on Procure-to-Pay (P2P) / Procurement Operations Specialist to provide short-term coverage for a team member on leave. This role focuses on day-to-day execution inside a purchasing/procurement platform and supporting internal stakeholders through the full P2P lifecycle.

Responsibilities
Support internal teams and suppliers with the end-to-end P2P workflow (requisitions → POs → change orders → receiving → invoice confirmation)
Provide guidance to business users on best practices and how to submit requests correctly (departments/accounts, documentation, approvals, etc.)
Monitor day-to-day purchasing activity and follow up on items that are stalled or missing information (e.g., missing receipts, approvals, PO issues)
Troubleshoot common platform/process issues and escalate more complex items through defined channels (Slack and ticketing as needed)
Assist with supplier onboarding and verification of supplier/business details (as needed)
Help maintain simple SOPs / instructions and support adoption and compliance across teams
Support basic reporting and ad-hoc requests (Excel + system reporting) to track compliance and process health
Qualification
Required
3+ years experience in Procurement Operations / Procure-to-Pay (P2P) or purchasing operations
Hands-on experience using Coupa or a similar P2P / procurement platform (e.g., Ariba, Oracle iProcurement, Workday Procurement, Jaggaer, Zip)
Strong understanding of purchasing fundamentals: requisitions, POs, invoices, receipts, and common exception handling
Comfortable with high follow-up volume and working independently to drive items to resolution
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate transactional data
Proficiency with Excel (tracking, basic reporting)
Excellent communication skills and a customer-service mindset for supporting internal users
Ability to work hybrid (3 days onsite) in Ventura, CA for the duration of the assignment
Preferred
ERP exposure (Oracle preferred, but not required)
Supplier enablement / catalogs / punchouts
Contract terms familiarity (billing cadence, legal entity details, commercial basics)
Manufacturing or high-volume operational environments
Experience creating/maintaining SOPs and delivering training
