Supervisor, Technical Operations and Compliance

Responsibilities
Oversee the scheduling and execution of preventive maintenance and repair activities for company-owned vehicles to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective fleet operations
Evaluate vehicle conditions and advise department leadership on required repairs, estimated costs, and projected completion timelines; ensure fleet records are accurately maintained in accordance with established standards and regulatory requirements
Develop and present recommendations for new fleet acquisitions, including obtaining competitive vendor quotes and maintaining effective relationships with approved suppliers
Supervise, coach, and evaluate new Technical Operations hires, monitoring daily work activities and providing structured feedback and progress reports to management and team leaders
Collaborate with Human Resources to design, implement, and facilitate Technical Operations training programs; maintain detailed training documentation and attendance records
Identify gaps in training curricula and materials, recommend enhancements, and support continuous improvement initiatives, including content updates within the Learning Management System
Track, analyze, and report training effectiveness using defined performance metrics and provide recommendations to improve operational readiness and workforce competency
Ensure contractor trainers are fully trained and kept current on Buckeye’s MOP and BRSIS, as well as all applicable products, services, and procedural updates to support consistent and compliant field execution
Oversee Technical Operations safety training programs and administer the Safety Management System, including inspections, compliance monitoring, and corrective action tracking
Ensure all injuries, incidents, and near-misses are promptly reported, thoroughly investigated, and properly documented in accordance with company policy
Supervise quality control processes to ensure consistent service delivery and adherence to customer expectations and operational standards
Monitor safety metrics and leading indicators, report trends to leadership, and implement proactive risk mitigation strategies
Enforce company policies, procedures, safety standards, and EEO guidelines, and perform additional duties as required to support departmental objectives
Perform additional departmental duties and special projects as required to support operational objectives
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED – required
Minimum of 5 years of practical related work experience – required
Ability to perform the essential job functions of the Technical Operations employees – required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint – required
Punctuality and good attendance
Reliable means of transportation at all times
Valid driver's license and driving record that meet company standards at all times
Background record that meets Company standards
Strictly maintains confidentiality of financial and/or other information acquired in the course of work; discloses only when authorized, unless legally obligated to do so
Preferred
Associate degree in a related field – Strongly preferred
Experience designing and facilitating training programs – preferred
