Associate - Strategic Finance & Business Development

The Associate – Strategic Finance and Business Development will work closely with the CFO and senior leadership, focusing on financial planning, analysis, and supporting mergers and acquisitions to drive the company's growth.

Responsibilities

Execute monthly and quarterly material reporting requirements to GridTek investors (monthly financial results, quarterly Board meeting materials, annual budgeting and forecasting analysis and materials, cash flow forecasts, etc.)
Prepare detailed financial packages including income statements, cash flow forecasts, variance analyses, and key performance metrics
Develop and maintain dynamic financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario planning
Provide actionable insights and recommendations based on trend analysis, operational performance, and market conditions
Support annual budgeting and long-range planning processes
Conduct ad-hoc analyses at the request of senior executives
Build and maintain advanced financial models for valuation, debt sizing, and structuring
Conduct market research and financial analysis to identify and evaluate acquisition targets
Execute financial due diligence processes and coordinate with external advisors
Prepare investment memos and presentations for the Executive Team, Board, and investors
Assist in post-acquisition integration and execution of investment initiatives
Participate in all aspects of due diligence activities including managing advisors

Required

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or economics
2-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity or corporate development
Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling, with the ability to build complex models from scratch
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and manage multiple priorities
Willingness to travel as required for M&A activities
Working knowledge of data analysis (Pivot Tables, modeling, etc.)
Ability to take on additional responsibilities throughout the organization as capacity allows and as the Company continues to evolve
Hitting deadlines and willing to work the hours necessary to get the job done
