Staff Accountant
Idaho First Bank is a full-service state-chartered community bank established in October 2005 and headquartered in McCall, Idaho. The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and banking regulations.

Responsibilities
Maintain accurate and timely general ledger entries in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank statements, cash accounts, and balance sheet accounts
Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities
Support year-end audits by preparing schedules and documentation
Prepare, reconcile, and upload payroll files; assist with payroll-related reporting and reconciliations
Prepare and maintain fixed asset schedules, including monthly depreciation entries
Prepare and file Sales & Use Tax and Property Tax filings
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing as needed
Prepare standard and ad hoc financial reports for management
Ensure compliance with internal controls, bank policies, and regulatory requirements
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies within accounting operations
Collaborate with internal teams to support accurate financial reporting
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required
Previous accounting experience required
Strong understanding of GAAP and general accounting principles
High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with accounting systems and banking software; strong Excel skills required
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently while also collaborating as part of a team
