Litigation Associate

They are seeking a Litigation Associate to assist with and lead various aspects of U.S. trademark and copyright litigation, including managing case strategy and interfacing directly with clients.

Responsibilities
Assist with and lead aspects of U.S. trademark and copyright litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motions practice, hearings, pretrial, and trial
Handle TTAB (Trademark Trial and Appeal Board) proceedings, including oppositions and cancellations
Draft pleadings and motions, conduct legal research, and assist with managing case strategy
Manage document collection, review, and production
Manage written discovery requests and responses
Assist with depositions and deposition preparation
Interface directly with clients, providing practical and business-minded advice on legal strategies and ongoing matters
Qualification
Required
J.D. from an accredited law school with an active Texas state bar license
3-5 years of civil litigation experience within a law firm setting, including at least some federal civil litigation experience
Excellent writing, research, and case management skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects, and take ownership of client matters, while also thriving in a collaborative environment
Must be located within commuting distance of our office in Austin, TX, or be willing to relocate
Preferred
Experience in trademark or copyright litigation is a plus but not required
