Talent Acquisition Specialist

LHH is a growing manufacturing organization seeking a proactive and organized Talent Acquisition Specialist. This role involves full-cycle recruiting, partnering with hiring managers to attract qualified candidates and ensure a positive candidate experience from sourcing to onboarding.

Human Resources

Responsibilities

Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements, staffing needs, and success criteria for open positions
Create, post, and manage job descriptions and job advertisements across internal and external recruiting channels
Source candidates using multiple strategies, including job boards, social media, employee referrals, community outreach, and networking
Review resumes, conduct phone screens, and assess candidate qualifications and fit
Coordinate and participate in interviews with hiring managers, ensuring timely scheduling and clear candidate communication
Prepare and extend employment offers in collaboration with leadership
Coordinate background checks, reference checks, pre-employment screenings, and onboarding documentation
Support new hire orientation and onboarding logistics to ensure a smooth and positive transition
Support continuous improvement of recruiting strategies to attract a diverse and qualified talent pool
Represent the organization at job fairs, workforce events, and community recruiting initiatives
Partner with leadership to identify opportunities to improve hiring processes, reduce time-to-fill, and enhance candidate quality

Required

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
3–5 years of recruiting or HR experience, preferably within a manufacturing or operational environment
Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS) and digital recruiting tools
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Strong written and verbal communication skills
High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple requisitions and deadlines
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Working knowledge of Illinois employment and recruiting compliance requirements

Preferred

Professional HR or recruiting certifications (e.g., SHRM, SPHR, CSP)
